Test Process Improvement

The Test Process Improvement (TPI)-model supports the improvement of testing processes. The TPI-model has been developed based on the knowledge and the experience of Sogeti. The model offers insight in the 'maturity' of test processes within your organisation. Based on this understanding the model helps to define gradual and controllable improvement steps.

In modern car electronics and software development, testing is an important part of the development process. The growing complexity of these electronics and software demands the enhancement of the development process and therefore also of the test process. TPI offers an instrument to stepwise improve the test process. Initiated by the German automotive industry, the development of TPI Automotive was started in 2003 (and finished in 2004). The objective was to create a model with all the ingredients of the existing TPI-model but "translated" and extended to cover the automotive peculiarities. More info: TPI Automotive 1.01
